I LIKE that look...a lot!

Will that size fit on an 8" rim?

Yes it will, the guy from Expedition West runs 255s on 16x8s. Heres a link... http://www.expeditionswest.com/equipmen ... mt_km.html

Thanks for the compliments guys. I was going to get some 265/75 ats locally, but found a great deal on these online. Couldn't be happier. Here's a few more pictures...

Unfortunately it hasn't rained here in a while, so all the mud is pretty dried up. Don't worry though, should have some soon.

They don't rub at all under daily driving. I did get some rub in the front on the very inside of the fender flare when I hit a speed bump a little faster than I should have, but a little trimming will fix that. It usually doesn't rub in the rear, but it did on that concrete wall. It was really stuffing that rear tire though...

dude, what website did you find those?
1991 Rodeo LS "Rawry" GM 3.1L V6, 4L30E, Aisin Manual Hubs, 30x9.5x15 All Terrians - Sold
1990 Trooper LS "Red" GM 2.8L V6, 4L30E, Auto Locking front hubs, G80 Rear end, 33" Muddz - Sold

At Jeep, they wrote the book on 4x4ing.
At Isuzu, they made it better.

If I can't lift it, lower it, race it, or wheel it, I don't want it

Thanks, looking at pictures of yours in the Trooper trail shots thread on ExPo helped me pull the trigger on the 255s. I want about 2-3" lift, but that will probably have to wait till I graduate next year, unless I just get a spacer and crank my Tbars.

I should be going home next week, so I'll get some pictures of the trim in the front. I got the tires from performanceplustire if anyone else is looking. Too bad they raised their price, I got mine for $139/tire

robertdarin, If I put 255/85/R16's on my '02 Jackaroo (aussie version of a trooper) with 2" of suspension lift, do you know if I'll get any rubbing? I'm looking at maxxis bighorns.

..also anyone running 255/85's on a 3.0TD? what is the loss of torque like? especially at highway speeds?

cheers,
Cal.

actually i believe that the aussie version came with stiffer springs out of the box(the american ones were built for comfort not function) and the springs i run (arb 919) only gives your rig a small amount of lift. so i guess the answer to your question is that with 2 in of lift you should have absolutely no rubbing issues. :D
