CAMPING:

As always, we will be staying in Arrowhead Campground.

Campsites:

--- Sites WITH electricity are $15.00 per night
--- Sites WITHOUT electricity are $12.00 per night

We always try to secure site #37 first, and then get all of the adjoining/surrounding ones… After that, it helps with our ‘neighbor relations’ if we continue getting the ones which border the sites that we already have.

Reservations:

Contact ReserveUSA to make your campsite reservations...
ReserveUSA - Or call them at: 1-877-444-6777

* NOTE: If possible, please try to reserve your campsites so that they either border or sit across the road from a site that is already on the 'Reserved Campsites' list below.

Reserved Campsites:

27 & 29Joe Darlington (Main Sites)
30Van
28Mario
32Quonzu & Jerry
34ditchdoc
35Mike M.
26Ryan
33Paul
36sassee
21squatch

* All campsites with electric hookups have been reserved. There are still the first come first serve sites, and a handful of non-electric sites.

WEATHER:
As most can tell you the weather does play a big part at Uwharrie. The big factor being rain that turns even the easy trails into slippery slop making things much more difficult.

TRAIL PASSES:

You can get your Daily or Season Trail Pass(es) from the Ranger Station, or from several local authorized stores, such as The Eldorado Outpost.

--- A Daily Pass will set you back $5-per-day.
--- The Season Pass will cost you $30 for the entire year.

(Although, naturally, a Season Pass would only be worth the money if you intend to 4-wheel in Uwharrie a total of SIX DAYS or more before the trails close for the season)

You got me! Jerry was just asking if I had seen the dates. When I saw this post, I thought that was great timing. But alas, the dates have not been set. :(

It seems of late it has just so happens that the Isuzu trips fall on the same dates as the Suzuki trips. Just checked Zuwharrie.com and their dates are actually October 31- November 2nd.

Thread Here:
http://bbs.zuwharrie.com/content/topic, ... #msg845658

Because a lot of people show up on Thurs or earlier that would be Oct 30-Nov 2 if the dates end up falling on that weekend. Other date options are(keeping with mid to late Oct):

Oct 23rd-Oct 26th
or
Oct 16th-Oct 20th

I am planning on doing an early Sept run anyway, so Oct 30th - Nov 2nd wouldn't be that bad actually. But we will see.

I like doing it the same weekend as Zuwharrie... it's a tradition. If anyone plans on going, reserve your sites early. I am going to go online tonight (or whenever we fix a date) and try and reserve the main group site for the event... most likely site 27 & 29

I like the last weekend in Oct. It should be nice and cool. Also this would allow me to attend the Fall Colors event that MATC is holding the weekend of Oct 17-19 at GWNF.

I know everyone likes have a long discussion about the date just to have someone pick one  , but is it pretty much safe to say Oct 31st-Nov 2nd? Just wondering. I am 99 percent on going for this one, hopefully $$$ will allow to stay the full trip and maybe get a campsite for everyone's usage etc. And I still owe you $5 Joe, heh.

Some sites at Arrowhead are already booked during the Oct. 30 - Nov. 2 period. So I suggest that we wrap this up and set the date!

Thread updated with official info etc copied and pasted from the 07 thread. I will try to help keep it updated while I can, any mods feel free to step in and help edit it.

I am going to check the remaining campsites and see about getting one possibly.
