Number of Posts Classes

Postby ephebus » Fri Sep 07, 2007 2:28 am

Would we be able to get some more classes for people with different post counts? Like how Old Timers are over 1000 or something. Just so we all can have little things under our user names on posts.

for example
1-10 posts = New Kid
11-40 posts = Zupur Scooper
41-70 posts = Megatron
etc...

Just a thought, I couldn't think of any good titles.

So let's think of some ranks. Currently once a user hits 1000 posts they become an "Old Timer"

I'm open to have many more ranks.

Don’t let it bother you too much -- I just saw where Joe Darlington is rated as a ‘Deer in the Headlights’

Would it be possible to create an additional set of display parameters? -- Maybe something like:

If less than 100 posts
And membership = 1+ year
Then display ‘Sitting on Blocks’

If greater than 100 posts
But less than 200 posts
And membership = 1+ years
Then display ‘Stuck in 4 Low’

Just a thought.

Also, I’ve seen on a few other phpBB forums where the members can create their own text after they reach a certain number of posts – I have ‘IFS Limits Tester’ as mine at a local West Virginia 4x4 forum.

Maybe we could do that here for the 500+ post mark (???) --- After that many posts, I’m sure that everyone would be familiar enough with the guidelines that they wouldn’t choose anything too crass or raunchy... and with some of the characters around here, the freedom to create your own taglines would no doubt be good for a few laughs.

Just another thought.

Cheers!
