Who's this heading for Eugene / Medford?

Postby JoeIsuzu » Sun Jun 13, 2021 11:24 pm

My son just passed this going south on I-5 out of Salem, OR toward Eugene. Anybody we know?

Anybody we know?

Or more accurately, someone we want to know. ;)

(thumbs up)

I can't ID the engine in the bed of the p'up. We'll have to leave that to Dsuzu.

My preliminary (6:00 AM) guess would be maybe a pair of NPR engines? Look more when I get home. Dennis

I have a good friend in Medford who's a diesel mechanic (that guy) and has quite a few parts trucks in a field. He's pretty much the "go-to" guy in that area, but he doesn't recognize this one.

Agreed. But I'm still pretty amazed that there seem to be hard-core Isuzuista out in the wild, that have no contact with us here, or on the P'up site. How does ANYBODY keep one running, without Jerry?!?!

YET. Here's a possible scenario based on the second gen Trooper towing it: There are MANY second gen owners who are just drivers and have their vehicles worked on at garages, or (rarely), just don't have much trouble with their vehicle, so they have no "need" for this site or reason to do a search. Now maybe this Trooper owner is one of "them", and thought "I just found a great deal on this little Isuzu pickup, it's an Isuzu like my Trooper, it will be cool to have an Isuzu pickup too" (Planet members hands rubbing together in anticipation). Unless they're "Johnny 5" of the west coast.

FWIW, I thought "I'll do a little sleuthing and see if there was a Pup for sale recently and maybe an ads still up" I googled "Isuzu PUP for sale". All I came up with was a bunch of old postings on sale sites and a few modern Duramax or whatevers Dennis
