I’m pretty sure I can Fold… I’m more worried about Spindle and Mutilate!

Believe me; there will be some rigorous drills before race weekend… I want to be able to get in and out of that thing, without even thinking about it, like I’ve been doing it all of my life.


But Doug tells me that I probably won’t have to get out during the race – apparently he’s been taking notes from Rubo’s Handbook:

I guess so what angles are you looking for and as for mounting,it's welded on so don't really have any mounting pics.It actually ihas more clearance than factory bumper.

On saturday it was cold wet and snowing so I worked on an aux wire panel for everything added.

What type of pipe bender are u using for the framing??? Wouldnt mind doing my own work like that, an exterior roll cage would be a nice thing to build someday.

It's actually a tubing bender-- protools model something

Pipe benders actually kink and mangle tube.Investing in a tube bender is not cheap but it opens up alot of possibilties for being different when fabing stuff up.

Tube bending really is an art form,it's one of those things that you can only learn by doing it,I'm getting better but wow there's alot to learn.

I watch and see what some of these folks are doing and it's like Da--! they are good.

For those who cant get there hands on a tube bender but can get a pipe bender, theres still hope.
Its not as perfect as a tube bender but, if you fill your pipe with sand first and then use the pipe bender you will be able to achieve a decent bent

cut front tubes off and welded them to 1/4" plate which is welded to slider tube and then will be tied into the front body mount,still more bracing don't worry.

Since the Roll Cage might very well end-up saving my hide, I know I’m supposed to ‘Ooooo’ and ‘Ahhhh’ more over the absolute artistry that you have faithfully demonstrated in creating it…

Or maybe the Telescoping Grab Handles, since they will undoubtedly prevent my arms from flailing around during the race, as well as make it infinitely easier for me to get in and out of the vehicle…

Or perhaps even say something about the Camera Mount or Light Bar Strut, since they are both extremely ingenious devices into which you’ve obviously put quite a bit of thought and effort………


But, Doug -- that Clock is just-plain COOL!
