I figured that unlocking the "Lowriders" front hubs would have slowed him down a bit :twisted:

, but apparently didn't have the affect I was hoping for :shock:

...

Bansil and Smiley did good... they and the "Lowrider" really impressed a lot of non believers...

here are the other times
#304 91 Trooper - 10.01...broke 1 shock on each side, bent tie rod, broke center leaf spring pin
#306 02 Passport - DNF... fastest time to checkpoint 1...42 sec...jumped berm...blew tire... crashed into really large mud puddle off the side of the trail.
#211 96 Passport - 9.07... no carnage
#102 50 Willys (Honorary Isuzu) - 13.10ish ... broke shackle

Nice job gentleman. That had to be fun. I would have loved to ride "shotgun" on that run, or ride "grooving iron" as I'm sure they will soon be calling it. :lol:

As soon as the race was over, I looked at Doug and said "Hell YEAH! -- Let's go do it again!!!"... and then added something about it being the most fun I've ever had outside of the bedroom

I'll ride 'Grooving Iron' with Doug again, any day! :twisted:

After the race, we were going to unlock the hubs, but they already were... I asked Doug if he'd already gotten them, but he didn't think so -- and I *know* I hadn't done it... So, either Doug unlocked them in a state of post-race 'everything's a blur', or we ran that entire course in 2WD (thanks to some smartass who must have unlocked them at the starting line, after we locked them in) :shock:

We joked, and blamed it on Darlington

I want to see some video of us at Stage 4 (the Ledge before the Rock Garden) that'll prove 2WD vs. 4WD, one-way-or-the-other.

I didn't see this build until now, but I'd like to say a few things.

1.) Nice ambition
2.) Nice ideas
3.) Nice fabrication skills
4.) Nice vehicle to work with

This is pretty interesting to see you do, keep up the good work man were all watching.

tried to help Brian also... he said he was running 12 PSI... I assumed he meant 12 psi total... when I checked his tires he had way to much air in there...12 psi per tire... helped him out and let them down to 3 psi... which for 4 tires would equal 12 psi... :roll:

As for 2wd vs 4wd...............it looks like 4wd maybe in the vids.......hard to tell tho'

I washed lowrider last night,

I really used the sliders,several times they are dented but straight and still strong,guess .120 wall tube dents when you hit hit crap at speed :lol:

I got a dent on the drivers rear quarter,not sure where or how,thought it was the tree at the ledge,atho" from video evidence I have no idea where it happen'd at.

No dents under the rig and all the pcs are still there,so carnage was limited to a small dent, 1 cut tire ,(maybe on the ledge) lot's my fire extinguisher and a cd :roll:

It was cut when I did rockymount rock garden,you can hear the air squishing out,I finished the race with a flat,pretty cool.

Lot's of mud in the truck
overall the two Isuzu's in the B class suffered the least amount of damage,go isuzu

It's been awhile,I basically have just beat on the ol' girl for the last 6months and decided to add some more tube'
This is prep for more work over the winter,just getting ready for the race this weekend.

and the holes in the hood help out 100% on the heat being forced thru the tranny tunnel ........no more burnt legs(no carpet of insulation)

I'm brand new to the site, had a love affair with the Amigo's for a long time though since my mother's best friend rolled up in one 14 or so years ago with the top off ;-)

I've never even considered the Amigo for what you've done here...I went through all 10 pages skimming all the pics and such. AMAZING!! Amigo man...very cool ;-)
