Seems like we have a lot of firearm enthusiasts on here, post up a pic!

This is my daily CCW

Glock 23 Gen4 with an Insight M3, I am still looking for a good holster to use with the light. For now I carry it without the light in an Old Faithful IWB. I also just had a set of Trijicon night sites installed :D

Not on my laptop. That is wierd.

Your Santa seems a lot more giving than mine!
Actually, the rifle, mount, scope and ammo holder cost a total of about $300. Bass Pro had the rifle on sale for $249 minus $25 for putting it on the Bass Pro CC. The 4-12x40 Simmons scope was $50 minus a $30 rebate. So I'll bet your two revolvers cost Santa more than my "present".

BTW: I love SA revolvers! I have two .44 cal Pietta 1858 New Army cap and ball revolvers and a NAA .22 cap mini cap and ball revolver; all SA.

My buddy went home for thanksgiving(back to Memphis) and his mom offered him his grandpas only remaining gun. Apparently it was the only one his grandmother couldn't sell... It was the exact same thing that I got but his was German made. I think it was Rohm.
I totally understand. My grandfather's shotguns disappeared before I could claim them.

Nope! Those revolvers were marked down to $99 each! That's why I camped out for them. I was only going to get one but they said I could get two, so I said why not? I took my bag chair, a quilt an old girlfriend made me (really warm!) and an old coleman white gas catalytic heater. I sat in the chair with my blanket over me and the heater under my legs. I had to let the heat out every now and then. Everyone else was shivering but I was toasty. I let them know that I had a heater after about 3 hours :)

Then the news showed up to "see what everyone was coming out to wait in line for?!?" I didn't want to be lumped into the rest of the group that I had been hanging out with. I turned my back because I didn't want to be surrounded by red necks (guy behind me introduced himself as "Big Dog") and then say, "I'm here for the guns!!!"

Wow. That is a good price! The Rough Rides go for $160-200.

And I like the idea of using an old girlfriend (quilt) to stay warm.

See what happens, Everytime I mention a gun or cartridge I like or want to shoot Hack goes out and buys it!

Nice revolvers. I tried real hard to find a Rough Rider 22 last year but none to be found around here. Perfect for the many boxes of short I recently aquired.

Actually I decided to buy it after shooting Joe's at Hallowarrie.

I learned to shoot using a .22 SA revolver. Still love it but a PITA to load. Its a convertible model, you can change cylinders for LR or Mag.

Yes, I know the bird is crooked, its been fixed since then.

Cant touch one of these for the price of those Heritage .22s though. Every used 3 screw Single Six I've found ranges from $400-650 depending on condition and if its a convertible.

Ive got a few no revolvers I went semi auto with a Glock 22 in 40 S&W and have subsequently also picked up a 22 adapter kit for it ' . also have a old stand by of my fathers a 300 savage 99 a 1954 edition. along with the usual SKS and 10/22 both are dressed with ATI stocks as i refer to shoot with a military style pistol hand grip after shooting this style for nearly 30 years .

I am truly jealous of some of these weapons. MY supply is limited but, it's expanding. Slower than I would like
I have gotten into the AR platform lately and I will have to post a couple of pics of the latest build asap!

They come to me in dribs and drabs. Its the bits and pieces that cost. Reloading.... It gets pricey but its less expensive then buying the ammo wholesale. I get better performance then stock ammo at that price

oh yes my .22 cal Herbert Schmidt a fine gun for plinking with single action

I had never understood the AR craze, but sometime last fall, I talked to a guy at a gun show who explained how you can easily change calibers. Amongst some of the other things like being able to buy cheap and upgrade over time, I finally decided I wanted to build an AR. We went to the beach in February and they had a gun show going on. Being out of state, I couldn't buy a stripped lower, but they could sell me a whole gun! I got a standard AR for $475. I still wanted to build one, so I picked up a lower at a local show and built it up. I decided to take it the pistol route, so it got an 8.5" barrel from Palmetto. It was fun, I'm kinda "meh" about them mostly because it's always a pissing match about how you've customized your AR and who's is better. Maybe they'll grown on me...

I've also recently picked up a Chipmunk 17HMR for my boy. He is still too young but I had only seen them in 22 and the 17 looked neat. He and I camped out on Black Friday last year and got some more door buster revolvers and a Taurus 709 slim. I also got a stoeger P-350 for my birthday last year and I upgraded it to a Mossberg 930 for this season.

That's a lot of guns since I last posted... No wonder my wife gives me hell for having a bunch!

I don't really get into the whole "pissing match" myself. I build for what I want and that is the draw for me. The one I just finished, I wanted very specific options and I really like the way it came out. SO many different options available ( for the time being ), light weight, dependable, easy to operate and maintain. I've heard "like Legos for BIG kids" and think that's a good analogy. Build it exactly how you want, color, caliber, accessories, etc. My next will be a 300AAC as I am considering getting the tax stamp for supressor. Plus, I just enjoy building them.

My Christmas present from the wife. Locking Ammo Cabinet! It has three shelves inside and can hold up to 8 regular ammo boxes inside. I have to get to work now filling it up. Here are the guns that ammo going into that cabinet fit.

1.)Ruger SR762- Ruger SR-762 Carbine, VTAC low profile sling mount and sling, Aimpoint red dot and 3x magnifier, and AAC 762-SDN-6 suppressor Ammo-7.62x39mm

2.) Ruger SR45ACP- .45cal w 2 10+1 double stack mags.

3.) FEG PJK-9HP- Can fire 9mm or 9mm parabellums. Its actually a identical remake of the Browning HP 1911 9mm. Was made in Hungary in the early 90's as their Armies standard issue sidearm. I have had it since 98 and it has been a rock solid piece over 5000 rounds fired and can count on one hand how many failed ejections I have had. I actually have read on other forums that if anything ever breaks you can order parts for the BHP and they will fit the FEG perfectly.

4.) 1847 Model USMR Colt Walker Dragoon. .44 Cal. Ok so I know the question......is it real? Yes it is. However it is missing the trigger. It was given to me apart in pieces in trade for some work I did for a guy. The cylinder features W.L. Ormsby's original engraving of "Hay's (Col. John Coffee Hays) Big Fight" on the Pedernales in Texas, July 1844, depicting a battle in which a small band of Rangers(later know as the Texas Rangers), armed with Colt Walkers, easily defeated a far larger group of Comanche w/o a single loss. Samuel Colt himself actually had not only had that engraving commissioned himself he actually had a painting of the same event hung in his home. It was verified by a arms guy I know when I thought it was a replica and wanted to get a trigger made for it. As soon as he saw it he was silent and said "Where the f@#$ did you get that?" I told him the story and he told me to leave it as it was since it was worth more the way it was and if ever fired it could have a serious failure. I have also attached a copy of the original drawings of the different engravings available at the time. The top drawing is the depiction I have.

Lastly let me know what you think about this finish and color of the table under the pistols. I just finished stripping staining and clear coating it a few weeks ago.

My collection decreased by two this week. I was at our shop that I rent with 7 others putting tires on my truck. I had trouble and the guy who knows the tire machine wasn't there tonight so I left my truck on the lift. Before I got a ride home, I went to grab my two guns out of the truck and they weren't there. I usually just have one, but I ended up with a second one about a week and a half ago and I left it with the other. Came home and checked the house but couldn't find it anywhere that I would have set either down (with a 1 year old!). Filed the police report a couple hours ago. This really blows...

If anyone comes across a deal on an ultra lite Taurus 38 or a PT709, let me know...

And to think, I shared this photo with my wife two days ago... now I need another revolver to make up for the lost one.
