You can easily get 2-3 inches out of it. If you start going above 3", your ride quality will suffer more and more.
Honestly there is not a huge need for upgraded ones unless you plan on putting a winch or much heavier tires, or aggressively wheeling in it a lot.
I have about a 3" lift from cranking the stock torsion bars with heavier tires but my ride quality is still very good.
I hope that helps. _________________

Ive got my stock T-Bars cranked to 3" lift with 33/12.50 tires. At first it did not ride so well, then I put shocks on it that were stiffer, and had a little more length. It rides great now. So I think that as long as you are not putting a winch or much heavier bumper on the front, then stock T-Bars will be fine. _________________ 1990 Trooper "HT"3.4 V6, 6in. lift, 33/12.50/KM2 |

I put the Pro comp ES9000's on my truck. This is the 4 wheel parts part#EXP 914510. Its a gas shock. I like it anyway. _________________ 1990 Trooper "HT"3.4 V6, 6in. lift, 33/12.50/KM2 |

Ditto on the ES9000s. I did the same 3" torsion bar crank running 34" TSLs and it rides good, for what it is. _________________ 94 Isuzu Trooper

The torsion bars only affect the frontend, and even that it doesn't affect the shocks. Only thing it does is limits the travel, stiffen the ride and the camber of the alignment gets a bit off. _________________ 94 Isuzu Trooper
