| Hello, my name is scott, and I live in wisconsin. I have a 97 rodeowith a 3.2 and auto trans 198,000 miles and strong running engine. my issue is the trans is pumping fluid out between the back of the engine and the bell housing, I think that would be the front pump seal on the trans is bad correct? |

Are we talking a leak or literally pumping it out? Could be the difference between the front tranny seal as you mentioned or the pump itself.
I've seen a few front seals leak but it's generally not real drastic, more often it just marks it's spot. On the other hand, I've also seen a Chevy Van that blew the front pump and it will almost instantly dump all the fluid. _________________ 91 Trooper LS 3.1 tranplant, 5 speed

Sometimes the problem is get solve by replacing front pump seal but be sure to check for scoring on torque converter. |

Welcome to the planet! it sounds as if you might want to just tear it out and replace it! I have had nothing but problems with my 4l30e and am seriously looking for a manual trans! But Thats just my opinion.
You have Yourself a good platform there and I am sure that you will find all the answers you are looking for here. This is a good group of people. _________________ 1993 Rodeo 3.2 AT, two inch lift, Satin black 16in. Snowflakes.
