what tire size for 02 rodeo with 2 inch lift

Postby NORCALsaysHELLA » Wed Apr 21, 2010 2:38 am

im planning getting for new shoes for the zoo sometime in the summer with some 15X8 rock crawlers and was wondering what tire size you recommend. i dont mind banging and minor cutting inside the fender well but do not want to touch the outside. also dont care if the mud flaps have to go. whats the biggest i can go without too much cutting? im thinking maybe a 31x10.5x15? or would that require alot of cutting? also if anyone has any pics of a 1.5 or 2 inch lifted 2nd gen rodeo with upgraded tires please post em. id like some inspiration. thanks!

The amount the wheels stick out is going to cause the biggest problem. The less back spacing the more you are going to have to trim.

32x11.50-15 on 15x8 with 3.75" back space and 3" suspension lift....

I dont know what the back space is on 15" snow flakes but here is Tammys rodeo with 31's on snow flakes. I dont think she has a lift, not sure...

She took a hammer to hers for clearance but it wasnt very much and was mostly just the inside seam. I know she had to do a little of the bottom edge of the fender but only a couple inches.

Off topic: I'm really getting sick of image shack. Pics only work about half the time, going to have to move them all to photobucket.

man i wish i could. but money is tight. maybe in the near future i will  as for the 2 inch lift, i swapped the rear coills with trooper coils and it raised the back 2 inches. but i still need to crank the front up which will be done soon.

I just hammered mine back. Not as drastic as cutting and still does the job.

I'm running 32" tires right now with the factory off set and have no rubbing issues. When I ran the 31" tires on snowflakes (which have zero offset), they would rub slightly in a sharp turn.

Here is the best pic with it on 31"s that I have. You can see the bottom of the fender well where I did the hammering.
